A Homecoming to the Sancitity of the Vedic Era

Vedas are the sacred scriptures revealed to the Maha Rishis by the primordial source of cosmic knowledge, Veda Mata Gayathri Devi. Inspired by the divine intention and the boundless compassion of the Veda Matha, Gayathri Devi, our foremost Gurus – the Maha Rishis took up the sacred mission of imparting the Vedic wisdom to mankind. This marked the beginning of the Gurukula system of education, where, under the guidance of the Guru, the sacred wisdom of the Vedas permeated all aspects of daily life and assured a holistic transformation for the shishyas or learners through the integration of the divine Vedic principles into their personal conduct and practical activities.
With the passage of time, history has born witness that civilizations can come and go. Kingdoms can risen and fall. Yet the flame of the Vedic truth have been kept ablaze by the unwavering Sadhana and the austere Tapasya of the Gurus that came before us. Gayathri Gurukulam, a learning center ( or Vidyalaya) for Vedic sciences was founded and led by Acharya Sri Arun Prabhakaran, a Dwivedi (Rigveda and Atharvaveda). The Gurukulam was founded by Acharya Sri Arun Guided by the divine inspiration of Veda Mata Gayathri Devi, the Gurukulam is built on Acharya Arun’s life mission which is to guide sincere seekers of Parabrahman — irrespective of religion, caste, gender, or nationality— through the sacred wisdom of Vedas into self-realization.

Here, the sacred Gayatri Mantra serves as a luminous beacon. illuminating the path through the profound teachings of the Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda, and Atharvaveda.
Each verse and ritual is a stepping stone, guiding individuals to unlock their inner potential and embrace the rich tapestry Of tradition that nurtures the soul. Igniting Souls Through Vedic Wisdom

With the divine grace and guidance of the Veda Mata Gayathri Devi, Gayathri Gurukulam, has confidently set a pace into bringing the sacred truth of Vedas to the ever-seeking mind; steadily expanding its reach and activities within India and across the globe .The Gurukulam intends to widen the current level of operations into all walks of life, thereby igniting each soul with the sacred fire of the Vedic knowledge. The vision of the Gurukulam as a VishwaVidyalaya is to be a universally trusted sacred space for learning in a harmonious,devout and familial environment,where, through the structured Vedic disciplines of mantra chanting and daily ritual practice, every seeker can transcend limitations and elevate the mind into the ultimate state of receptivity for realizing the Supreme Truth from the Divine Veda Mata.

Brahmashri Sreedhar Adi:
The Guruji Of Acharya Sri Arun Prabhakaran.

Acharyan Arun Prabhakaran, initially a Rigvedi, became the youngest disciple of the esteemed Brahmashri Sreedhar Adi of Gokharna, a revered Vedic scholar and spiritual master. Under Guruji’s guidance, Arunji delved into the depths of the Atharva Veda and various Vedic Shastras, benefiting from the wisdom of a teacher who had thousands of disciples across India. Guruji’s joy was palpable when he learned of Arun’s ambitious vision to establish the Gayatri Sakthipeethom in Kerala, Guruji took along Arunji on pilgrimage to explore and capture the details of sacred Shaktipeethas, Jyotirlingas, and to seek blessings and guidance from Avadhutas for this noble endeavor.

Gurukulam Vedic Curriculum

Gayathri Gurukulam conducts classes in Thiruvananthapuram, Kayamkulam, Ernakulam, Tirur, and Thalassery in Kerala, India and outside India, which is conducted online. Classes are conducted at other places in Kerala, as and when requests are received from seekers and aspirants. The Vedic classes are primarily conducted by the Acharya himself, and at times, by the Upadhyay’s. The subjects covered are:
Veda Praveshika
This introduces four Vedas subjectively; and unveil the subject, character, purpose of 4 Vedas.
Punarjanma Tatva Meemamsa
Vedic Science on Rebirths: This teaches about the fundamental principles that the ancient Rishis unveiled about Re-births or Incarnations, from the Vedas
Kshetra Meemamsa
This helps a seeker or devotee to understand the fundamental concepts behind the Temple, the fundamental bodies of the temple, the sanctum sanctorum, the idol, how to enter a temple, the rituals to be followed in a temple.
Acharana’s Anushtana’s
These classes will advise the student what are the rituals and Vedic practices to be adopted and practiced in life and those not to be followed in life.
Gayatri Praveshika
This helps a student to understand the meanings of Gayatri Mantra contemplated by many Rishis, and also helps the student to experience multi-dimensional levels that Mantra travels.
Vrata Meemamsa
Principles of Fasting – abstaining from food that come through our eyes, ears, nose and mouth, engage with the thoughts of GOD and chanting of particular mantras, according to the situation, to be practiced during e.g. Navaratri, Shivaratri, Pradoksham, Ekadashi, etc., and how to perform them.
Mantrartha Praveshika
Dwelling into the meanings of Mantras: This aspects of teaching helps a Vedic student to find out the meaning of each mantra by himself/herself.
Lalitha Sahasranama
How to chant the Lalitha Sahasranama as per the principles of Srividya Lineage, meanings of the each slokas, and different devotional principles to be followed.
Kshetra Meemamsa
This helps a seeker or devotee to understand the fundamental concepts behind the Temple, the fundamental bodies of the temple, the sanctum sanctorum, the idol, how to enter a temple, the rituals to be followed in a temple.
Pancha Yajnam
This aspects teaches a Vedic student the principles and methods of Yajnas as per the principles of Vedic shastras and Tantra shastras, besides teaching the Shodasha Kriyas.
Vaidika Shastra Praveshika
This introduces and teaches a student the Vedic shastras, the branches of Vedic shastras (Brahmanas, Aranyakas, Upanishad, Puranas, Ithihasas, Stotras, etc.), the relation between various Vedic shastras, its subjects and objectives, how these are practiced by Vedic people.
